At Hot Cross Buns, rabbits are raised as indoor companions and part of daily life from the very beginning.
We spend a great deal of time simply living alongside them — watching how they respond to people, how they settle into routines, what helps them feel secure, and the many small ways their personalities begin to emerge as they grow.
Over the years, one thing has become very clear to us:
Rabbits are not interchangeable.
Even littermates raised in the same home can grow into very different rabbits. Some are socially driven and eager to be involved in everything around them. Others are quieter and more observant, preferring to take their time before fully engaging. Some thrive in active households, while others settle best in calmer, more predictable environments.
