About Wander
Wander has grown into a very sensitive, cautious little rabbit who finds the world a rather intimidating place. She is easily startled and needs a quiet, patient home where she will be allowed to build confidence at her own pace.
Interestingly, Wander does tolerate being picked up rather well. When she is taken somewhere unfamiliar, her first instinct is to stay very close to the person she trusts. She will often sploot right beside them—or practically against them—while she watches her surroundings and decides whether it is safe to venture out. She allows relatively long petting sessions, and these seem to help her relax and be better able to process the world around her.
Once she begins feeling brave, Wander will make little exploratory trips away from her person, then return to her safe spot before trying again. Watching her gradually work up the courage to explore is incredibly sweet, and she clearly takes comfort from having someone she trusts nearby.
Wander is actually one of the bravest rabbits in her litter, although that is admittedly a fairly low bar! She will do best with someone who understands that gaining her trust may take time and who will find satisfaction in helping a very timid rabbit gradually feel secure.

Wander would likely do well in a calm, steady indoor home where she can be part of daily life without being overwhelmed by loud children or other animals. She would enjoy room to explore, regular gentle interaction, and a comfortable home base where she can rest and feel secure.
She would be best suited to a calm household without a lot of noise, chaos, or pressure to interact before she is ready. For the right person, Wander has the potential to form a very strong bond precisely because she relies so heavily on her trusted human for reassurance.
Placement Notes
Wander is being placed as an indoor companion rabbit through our normal placement process. She will go to an approved home only, and all placements are based on thoughtful fit rather than first-come availability.
Her new family should be prepared to provide a safe indoor setup, daily interaction, proper diet, regular grooming, and appropriate veterinary care as needed. A signed placement agreement is required.
Wander is currently available for placement. If she is not matched by October 18, 2026, her listing will be paused so she can be prepared for spaying. She would then be relisted after recovery.
