About Roam
Roam is an exceptionally sensitive little rabbit who has a very difficult time getting past her fear. There are glimpses of a much sweeter rabbit underneath all that anxiety, but right now her instinct to panic usually takes over before she can relax enough to show that side of herself.
Physical contact is especially difficult for her. Attempts to pet or handle her can send her racing frantically around her enclosure trying to get away, so she needs someone who will be willing to move very slowly and let trust develop on her timetable.
Roam is not aggressive, nor does she seem completely uninterested in people. In quieter moments, there is a softness and curiosity about her that makes us believe she has the potential to become quite a sweet companion once she learns that she is safe. Getting her there, however, will require an unusually patient person who is comfortable measuring progress in very small steps.
She would do best in a calm, predictable home where she is not expected to enjoy being picked up or immediately accept physical affection. Her person will need to spend time simply being near her, allowing Roam to approach when she feels brave enough and giving her plenty of opportunities to discover that human interaction does not always mean being touched or restrained.
Roam needs someone who will see the sweet rabbit hiding behind all that fear and be willing to give her the time she needs to find her courage.

Best-Fit Home
Roam would be happiest in a quieter indoor home where she can build confidence at her own pace. She does not need a completely silent household, but she would likely do best with a calm rhythm, gentle people, and a family that does not expect her to be instantly bold or outgoing.
She may be a good fit for adults or older, respectful children who understand that quiet rabbits often need time before they fully open up. Roam would probably not enjoy a loud, high-activity household or dogs that are overly energetic, noisy, or intrusive.
Her best-fit home is one that appreciates a soft, observant rabbit and is willing to let the relationship grow gradually. For the right person, Roam’s quiet trust and gentle companionship may be especially meaningful.
Placement Notes
Roam is being placed as an indoor companion rabbit through our normal placement process. She will go to an approved home only, and all placements are based on thoughtful fit rather than first-come availability.
Her new family should be prepared to provide a safe indoor setup, daily interaction, proper diet, regular grooming, and appropriate veterinary care as needed. A signed placement agreement is required.
Roam is currently available for placement. If she is not matched by October 18, 2026, her listing will be paused so she can be prepared for spaying. She would then be relisted after recovery.
