Pricing & Placement
Welcoming a rabbit into your home is a long-term commitment, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our placement process is intentionally slow and thoughtful, with an emphasis on clear communication, realistic expectations, and the wellbeing of both the rabbit and the family welcoming them.
We believe that clarity helps everyone feel more at ease, so the information below is shared openly and up front.
Placement Fees
Placement fees are set based on age and whether a rabbit has already been spayed or neutered.
Unaltered junior rabbits (rabbits 2-6 months old): $350
Neutered bucks (up to approximately four years of age): $400
Spayed does (up to approximately four years of age): $450
Our fees are the same regardless of color or markings and are not negotiable.
Age & Long-Term Care
We place rabbits only up to approximately four years of age. Rabbits beyond that age remain with us as permanent residents. At that stage of life, we feel it is kinder and more responsible to offer lifelong stability rather than ask them to adjust to a new home.
What Placement Fees Reflect
Placement fees help cover the care and time invested in each rabbit, including hands-on socialization, thoughtful pairing decisions, veterinary planning, and — for altered rabbits — surgery, recovery, and additional holding time. We keep our program intentionally small so that each rabbit receives individual attention.
Health & Transparency
Rabbits are placed in good health at the time of placement. Any known medical history or considerations are shared openly so families can make informed decisions.
What to Expect (and What to Plan For)
Placement fees do not include transportation, housing, supplies, or future veterinary care. Families should be prepared for the ongoing responsibilities of rabbit ownership, including routine and emergency veterinary expenses.
We do not hold rabbits without a confirmed placement agreement.
Next Steps
If our pricing and placement approach feels like a good fit, the next step is a conversation via email (which helps me keep track of details about each family’s needs). We’ll talk through your experience, your home setup, and what kind of companion you’re hoping to welcome, and from there we can see whether one of our rabbits may be a good match.
We understand that our approach may not be the right fit for every family, and that’s okay. We trust families to choose what aligns best with their values and circumstances.
