Ivy is an active, intelligent little doe who likes a challenge. She is a thinker and is a bit observant with a large part of active adventurer mixed in. We think her main underlying trait is that of a sociable busy- Bun, but her observant side keeps her from being as sociable with people as a typical busy-Bun would be. She has to know where you are and what you're doing, but she sort of spies on you to find out. A full-on social butterfly bun will climb all over you and get in your face to see what she wants to see, but this little girl most likely won't go that far.

Ivy is a 4-6 on the energy scale. It's difficult to tell because, if she can see what's going on, she's pretty relaxed, but if she can't, she will continually move around until she gets a good vantage point.

She is a beautiful girl with her mama's wonky ears. One always sticks out when her curiosity is piqued. We believe she is going to have a solid build like her mama, too...about 4.5 lbs when fully grown.

Like her sister Holly, she has the reddish cast to her eyes that is common in chocolate rabbits. It's usually only noticeable at certain angles in the light and sometimes in photographs. She has absolutely beautiful eyes, but she sometimes hides them behind her ears if she's feeling "exposed."

Ivy's preferred family will be fairly active, but with a good chunk of downtime. Because she's nosy, it would be great if she could free-roam with supervision, so she can "spy" on her family and hop along after them at her own pace. She will sit on laps and cuddle for a bit, but her more independent self likes to sprawl out close by, rather than on, her people. Ivy could enjoy watching children play and interact, but parental supervision would definitely be needed when very young children or more active children interact with her directly. She would do well with cats and well-behaved dogs

As the Hot Cross Buns are raised to be pampered pets, we do require the signing of a Spay/Neuter Agreement as part of our placement paperwork. Please speak to your rabbit-knowledgeable vet to inquire about their services and fees.

All of the baby Buns go to their new homes with a bag full of goodies including: a packet of bunny care information, a small bag of transition food and hay, a snack baggie of old-fashioned raw oats for treats, a toy, and a fleece snuggle mat.
